Rear panniers with improved shape and design which resembles that of handlebar bag Ultimate5 and front panniers Sport-Packer. Base feet protect the panniers bottom and keep it clean. The classical lid closure allows fast access to the waterproof bag’s interior. An internal double drawstring snow flap provides additional protection against dust, humidity and snow. A fixed inner pocket with main compartment and zippered mesh pocket helps organising items inside the bag.

The ORTLIEB QL2.1 system allows fast and easy single-handed mounting and removal of the panniers, and is suitable for racks with a tube diameters up to 16 mm (hook inserts for diameters of 8, 10 and 12 mm are included). Once the panniers are hooked into the rack, the mounting components close automatically. For taking off the rack you simply lift the handle. A 20 mm hook is available as optional accessory. The hook rail on the lower rear side of the pannier that serves for additional fixation is made of a two-component synthetic combination with anti-scratch function. This reduces abrasions on the carrier and prevents damage to the rack tubing. Thanks to the QL2.1 mounting hook rotatable in 45° steps the system is compatible with almost any bike rack.

The Bike-Packer Classic can be carried comfortably with an included shoulder strap. Two large and highly reflective 3M Scotchlite reflectors ensure safety in the dark. Base feet keep the bag‘s base clean and ensure stability

Note: In order to meet standard IP54 (5=protected against dust, 4=protected against splash water coming from all directions) the lid must be properly closed.

Attention: Maximum load per pannier is 9kg / 20 lbs. We recommend weighing each loaded pannier to confirm that the maximum allowance of the pannier fixation is not exceeded. This practice is advised for both rear and front panniers. CAUTION: The maximum weight capacity of every carrier model is different. Please observe the maximum weight allowance of the carrier fitted to your bicycle. Note: Sometimes the maximum capacity of the panniers fixing system can exceed the maximum capacity of the carrier.
