Product description

Lightweight, technical, wind and waterproof jacket for alpine activities

Lightweight performance - from the valleys to the summits: The WESTALPEN 3L LIGHT alpine touring jacket for women has been developed for demanding mountaineers looking for the perfect symbiosis of lightness, protection and functionality. The new jacket and pants in the 3L WESTALPEN LIGHT outfit can be packed up small and are very versatile.

A Dermizax® NX 3-layer construction protects against extreme weather while the technical design focuses completely upon the needs of alpinists in the high mountains. Thanks to the extra-high-performance DERMIZAX® NX membrane, the outer material is completely wind and waterproof without compromising on breathability or freedom of movement.

The high-performance fit of the WESTALPEN 3L LIGHT alpine touring jacket for women will sit ideally no matter what movement you make in the ice, snow or mixed terrain. With additional features such as extra-large front pockets, a high collar and a helmet-compatible, two-way adjustable hood with horizontal and vertical adjustment options, this lightweight 3L hardshell will provide alpinists with everything they need. Mesh lining in the front pockets improves air circulation. 120 MERINO TEC inserts ensure the jacket is comfortable in the neck and chin area.

Sustainability

Fair Wear
Fair Wear:

The independent organization Fair Wear Foundation monitors working conditions in the textile industry worldwide and constantly improves them.

PFC-free waterproofing
PFC-free waterproofing:

The impregnation is free from polyfluorinated chemicals, which are harmful to the environment and humans.

Mulesing free
Mulesing free:

Mulesing free describes a type of sheep farming in which the animals are spared the painful procedure of mulesing. Mulesing involves removing folds of skin around the animals' tails, sometimes without anesthesia, and this controversial procedure is used to prevent possible parasitic infestations. However, this technique is not used on animals from strictly controlled Mulesing free farms. Instead, they rely on close-meshed health monitoring to prevent parasite infestations and diseases. This increases the well-being and quality of life of the sheep, making Merino wool with the Mulesing free label the best choice for anyone who wants to support pain-free sheep husbandry and breeding.
