The Leader remains a fan favorite year in and year out. Spyder did manage to perfect one of their best-sellers with Spyder’s proprietary 360° stretch EXO Shield technology and top tier 30k/20k laminate, made with recycled polyester.
The manufacturer has done this while keeping all the signature Spyder features people have come to know and love intact, including 100g of PrimaLoft® Silver Eco Insulation, YKK® AquaGuard® Zippers, and their Silver Chassis interior with targeted interior stretch panels. With some minor technological upgrades, brand new colorways, but a fundamental design that remains unchanged, this jacket continues to lead the pack.
Sustainability
Perfluorinated and polyfluorinated compounds, also known as PFCs, are a group of fluorinated substances that have long been used as durable water repellence for clothing in the outdoor industry are very bad for the environment because they are very stable, and do not easily break down in nature. Therefore, PFC free/ C0 DWR treatments have been developed. They are less durable but more sustainable.
Recycled materials conserve resources and make a sustainable contribution to protecting the environment.
Technical data
PrimaLoft is a synthetic fiber which, as a very light, breathable and quick-drying material, has a very high insulating capacity with a small pack size. The synthetic material protects you from the cold and insulates the heat at the same time. PrimaLoft offers softness, lightness, warmth without bulk, as well as water repellency and compressibility like goose down.
